Brad Mathis is licensed to practice law in Minnesota and Iowa. Brad graduated from Hamline University School of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota with his Juris Doctor degree. Brad earned Dean's List Honors as well as a recommendation from the Minnesota Justice Foundation for his commitment to the Hamline Law School Public Service Program. Brad obtained a Certificate in Dispute Resolution from the highly ranked Hamline Dispute Resolution Institute and facilitated over 100 mediation sessions in conciliation and housing court while a student.
Upon graduating law school, he accepted his first position as Assistant County Attorney serving a two county area in northwest Iowa. Brad's primary duty was to prosecute domestic violence funded under the federal Violence Against Women Act (VAWA). In that capacity, he gained valuable court experience and lawyering skills.
Brad returned to Minnesota and accepted the position as Associate Attorney with Gerald Miller & Associates, P.A., a leading criminal defense and DWI firm in Minneapolis. In that role, he counseled and represented hundreds of clients faced with DWI and other criminal offenses.
In April 2009, Brad ventured out on his own and founded Brad Mathis Law Office. Brad practices exclusively in criminal defense and zealously serves the Twin Cities and surrounding area as well as north central Iowa.
Mr. Mathis takes a great deal of pride in representing his clients. Inside the courtroom he is relentless and enjoys the rewarding experience of obtaining THE BEST POSSIBLE result. Outside of the courtroom, he is compassionate, understanding, and always available to his clients.
